Abdulhadey Hussien owns and operates Q&S market on 100th Avenue in East Oakland. He’s the son of a Central Valley farmworker, who immigrated from Yemen to the US in the 1970s. Abdulhadey’s father bought Q&S, raised him and siblings in East Oakland, and once retired, passed on the store to them. Abdelhady is now expanding the business and selling more produce.
