Our Service Area
In 2020, Saba launched a home-grown produce distribution service out of the back of an independent corner store. One year later, we’re still the only organization to offer free produce distribution to corner stores in Oakland.
We’ve distributed over 38,000 pounds of produce to 12 local corner stores that had little more than lemons and limes before we came along. 4 more stores are joining the network in 2021, bringing our total to 17 stores (map above).
The feedback we’ve received has been positive: Corner store owners appreciate that they can order online and that we deliver high quality and affordable produce every week.
